In partnership between Soil to Soul and the Zug Gourmet Film Festival, the film "Master of Cheese" will be shown at Arena Cinemas. Following the portrait of Toggenburg cheesemaker Willi Schmid, Silvia Manser's culinary delights will be served in the Rüsterei.
Schmid's products are now served in top restaurants from Schauenstein in Graubünden to New York. And his Jersey Blue, a blue cheese made from the milk of Jersey cows, has won several awards as the best blue cheese in the world. Schmid also stands for the conversion of our food systems to a more sustainable production method and runs his business according to clear ethical principles as a matter of course.
Based on Willi Schmid's biography, the film team Myriam Zumbühl and Simon Steuri have produced an inspiring and instructive documentary, which Soil to Soul is showing in partnership with the Genussfilmfestival Zug. Experience Willi Schmid's inspiring story with us and then enjoy a dinner with his best cheeses, prepared by top chef Silvia Manser from the Truube in Gais, Appenzell. Author Myriam Zumbühl and Willi Schmid will also be present.
Included in the ticket are:
- The film screening of "Master of Cheese" by Myriam Zumbühl and Simon Steuri
- The four-course dinner by Silvia Manser (Truube, Gais, 17 points GM) with wine accompaniment, water and coffee
