For three days, the finest dishes, drinks, and experiences will be offered in Zurich's most beautiful basement at Südhang Oerlikon. The guest and host for the event is Austria's Burgenland region. Its ambassador, Hans Babits, personally takes charge of the evening's culinary delights. He's supported in the kitchen and supplied with the necessary ingredients by the diligent hands of Südhang's own MiniMetzg, whose nose-to-tail philosophy complements a hearty traditional menu like this one perfectly. From Liptauer and potato salad to paprika chicken, spleen slices, and veal ragout, to cabbage strudel and, of course, the essential bread dumplings—these rustic dishes are pure comfort food, timeless and telling the unfiltered stories of their origins.
Knowing where our food comes from should always be a given. The same applies to the accompanying wines from the region, which are also distinctly characteristic of their origin and are personally explained by their winemakers. Leithakalk, Eisenstadt, Blaufränkisch—so much to explore, taste, and savor. It's worth reserving a seat at the table early to ensure you don't miss out.
Südhang looks forward to seeing you!
Menu price: 150 CHF per person, including wine.
